STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF EFFECTIVE REGIONAL POLICY (CONCEPTUAL-METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH)

Summary

Strategic management is the management of an organization based on human potential, in which the production process is focused on customer needs, flexibly responds and implements changes in the organization, accurately responds to environmental challenges, achieves competitive advantages and enables long-term and achievable goals.

In fact, Georgia should pay special attention to the resource potential of the region, economic and social development of the regions, rational directions of economic development of the region: a) analysis of the causes of the globalization process and driving forces; b) determination of the essence of competitiveness in relation to territorial units; c) reconciling different methods and approaches to the study of regional competitiveness; d) to develop the theoretical basis for the concentration of clusters and to determine their role in the competitiveness of the region; and e) to assess the competitiveness of the regions on the basis of the main economic indicators of the region.

Thus, due to the current economic situation in Georgia, in the conditions of economic crisis, it is important to form a strategy for the survival of enterprises and use the advantages of strategic planning, through which it is possible to respond quickly to market opportunities, risk problems and safe development.
